Key Features:
1. Water meter Box with specific logo and viewing slot plus lockable brass valve with fittings for DN20
Water Meter,Meter boxes to be fitted with 20mm BSP Threaded male inlet and outlet fittings and supplied
with 20mm BSP to 25 mm PE female poly adaptor (1 pcs each) suitable for 25 mm (Poly Pipe) HDPE pipe. The boxes also be supplied with 20 mm PVC female adapter (l pcs each).Threaded fitting is fixed by lock nuts to the meter box assembly. All fittings are manufactured with brass or bronze materials.

3.Meter box is moulded in modified polypropylene. Meter box lid is manufactured to the same specifications as the box, and it is fitted with a transparent aperture that is appropriately sized and placed to allow complete visibility of the meter display through the lid.
4.Meter box lid to be of the hinged variety with the securing pin moulded in identical modified
polypropylene to ensure compatibility. The pining mechanism for the hinge must be such that
the pin cannot be removed as an added tamper proofing measure. Lid to be fitted with tamper proof dual action locking mechanism which can only be opened with a special key. One (1) key shall be provided for every thirty (30) meter box supplied. Meter couplings to be so designed that they retract to create a gap when loosened, thus allowing easy removal of the meter without having to apply pressure to force the connectors away from
the meter.
5.High quality flow magnetic lockable ball valve made from brass or bronze to be fitted in the
meter box on the upstream side of the water meter. This valve is controlled by a special
key which is to be supplied under the contract and must form a composite with the key for the
lid or have a special key that should be supplied with one key for every 30 boxes.
6. The meter box will be fitted with a base plate adequately affixed to the meter box.
The meter box will be supplied with a lock shield cover to fit over the ball valve to prevent
tampering when water supply has been shut off or restricted by the flow magnetic lockable ball
valve. The meter box will adequately sized to allow for access to maintain/remove meter without
dismantling the other components of the meter box.
